Where are you from?

Born in Carlton. Raised in Warrandyte.

What inspires you?

The sharing of ideas inspires me. I think that’s why I prefer to work collaboratively, and can be usually be found listening to podcasts at lunchtime.

Favourite movie?

The Godfather.

Where do I begin? The story, the styling, the cinematography or the ending?

Favourite album cover?

Massive Attack – Blue Lines

While there are plenty of album covers that have had an impact on me, this one always comes to mind first. I discovered Massive Attack in my first year of design school and fell in love with the artwork for Blue Lines immediately. I love the appropriation of the iconography and the bold layered typography. It feels very resolved and unfinished, all at the same time.

Favourite holiday destination?

There is nothing quite like New York City. I’ve been lucky enough to visit a number of times and it’s like a new city, every time I visit.

What 6 people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party if you could?

My Dad, Frank Sinatra, Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, Paul Keating & Mel Brooks

Coffee or Tea?

Coffee

What are you most passionate about outside work?

I spent 10 years DJing around Melbourne most weekends, so music has always been a big part of my life. Now I’m a father it’s hard to devote the time to dig for new music like I used to so I’m more passionate about reading and learning these days. I always have a pile of books I’m trying to make my way through.
